When using a Retinol it is important to start low and go slow in order to build skin tolerance to the product. For the first week use a single pump at night for only 2 times per week. Increase it to 3 times per week for the second week. Use it every other day for the following 2 weeks, and work up to daily use thereafter. When using with other SkinMedica products, order of usage is Cleanse, Tone, Lumivive, TNS serum, Lytera, Vitamin C+E (AM), Retinol(PM), Hydrator, Sun Protect.
Caution
Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant. Mild redness, peeling and irritation are expected when using this product. Use a daily sun protection with SPF 30 or higher and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week following discontinuation. If excessive redness and irritation occurs please stop use and contact your doctor.
